This arrow is one of the best planes on the market for this price. You won't want to miss out on this great deal.
You will rarely fly an arrow as nice as this one is to fly, but now you can actually own it. This plane has been meticulously maintained. It has a current annual done on May 14, 2010.
The maintance for the last 2 years has been done at Cavalier Aviation, out of Spingbank. It is up to date on all A/D. The plane is parked at Springbank airport CYBW, near Calgary.
It has been flown regularly over the last 2 years. This is one straight flying Arrow, it is soo true, once in the air you need almost never touch the rudder.
Now for some information about the plane. It is a 1967 Piper Arrow PA28R-180. I made a mistake on the time since major overhaul, it should actually be 333 SMOH. The total time is 3926 TT.
It has a 180 hp fuel injected engine. With fuel injection you no longer have to worry about that pesky carb heat. The engine is in fantastic condition. The compression on the cylinders at the last annual
are: #1 78/80, #2 74/80, #3 78/80, #4 78/80. These compression have been very consistent over the last few years, so no compression loss. The engine is a Lycoming IO-360-BIE and the prop is Hartzell 2 blade, constant speed 290 SMOH.
The exterior on the plane is a strong 7/10 (last painted 1998) and the interior is about the same a strong 7/10, with no rips, Tan Tweed Fabric with matching side panels. There are many pictures of the Arrow here, I tried to show it from all angles.
I have owned this Arrow for the last 2 years. I am selling it because I am working on another home built aircraft and want to spend more time finishing it. This plane has been a pleasure to own and fly.
I will be sad to sell such a sweet plane. With the autopilot linked to the GPS once your in the air this baby flies itself all the way to your destination.
The plane has an endurance of over 5 hours with a range of about 800 miles. I find that I can not sit for more then about 4 hours in a plane so this range is always been much more then I have needed.
Once you are flying and have the autopilot set to your GPS course you can sit back and enjoy the ride while you have lots of time to track your progress on paper maps. This Arrow flies like
a dream. You can usually fly around 140 knots ground speed at only 8 gph. This is accomplished because the plane has had as many modification added to it to improve handling and performance.
The wings have been modified by adding an extra foot of wing to each tip, the greatly improves the handling and the take off and landing performance.
Now for the massive list of improvements and modifications
that have been done to this Arrow: (many of these can be seen in the pictures that follow)

You don't want to let this deal pass you by, because it will go fast. This is one awesome plane to fly and own. Feel free to call or email me and come by and check out the plane and I will be happy to take you for a test ride.
I updated the GPS database this year, so you should be set with reasonably current data. The music input is wonderful for those long trips, it sure beats listening to the humm of the engine.
I have been very happy to own this plane, it always starts like a dream, everytime. The plane does have the older 121.5 ELT and this will have to be replace in the near future. One thing that amazed
me when I bought this plane is that all the documentation for it was there, right back to the start, it is over 1 foot of paper. The plane is in wonderful condition, when you look inside the tail it is still shiney in there.
I am still actively flying this plane. I have the pre-purchase report for the plane when I bought it, and you can view this if interested. I own this plane 100% and there are no leans on it. The tires are worn but are still in great shape and should work for another year or two.
This is a great plane at a great deal, dont let this one pass you by. Feel free to Call me (Randy) at 403-730-6332 or email ry@rgy.ca if you have any questions or want to arrange a test flight.
Thanks for your time in reading all this info, and I look forward to your purchase of this plane.
